Update on Clayton from today:
Clayton saw Dr. Shalaby this afternoon to get a game plan for his upcoming treatments moving forward. His lab work today showed another increase in his CEA numbers, and although it’s just a small piece of the puzzle, it still makes us anxious to start treatment. He still did his Avastin treatment today, which is the one he has done all along, so he will start his more aggressive one at his appointment in 3 weeks as long as insurance approves, which they don’t foresee a problem with. He will be trying 2 new chemo drugs, Irinotecan and Cetuximab. We are hoping the side effects from these 2 will be a little better than his previous one, and that the cancer responds quickly to it!
