We came home from Clayton’s kyphoplasty surgery on April 4th, just in time for Clayton to be able to join the church for Easter for a minute and say hi before heading back to the house. As you may have read in our last update, Clayton has been in the hospital for severe back, hip and leg pain for 14 days now while we try to figure out the source of the pain and how best to alleviate it. It’s been a minute since we’ve done an update and there has been quite a bit going on and quite a few things that are about to change so we figured it was time to do another one. Clayton has been in a significant amount of pain in the last few months, but over the last couple of weeks, it has been almost unbearable. -UPDATE- Over the past couple of weeks Clayton has been in quite a bit of pain in his back, side and upper left leg. He has still been doing chemo every other week and for the most part it has been working, keeping the spots we have been watching at bay, but because of the severe pain he has been having they decided to do an MRI of his spine and lumbar to see what was going on. From Darby: Earlier this week, Clayton had treatment on Monday and we got the news that his CEA number actually jumped higher than it has since we have started this round of chemo. It went from 4.7 two weeks ago, to 5.4 this week. Not a massive jump in the scheme of things, but it was a higher trend than we have seen this round.
