Clayton just met with a doctor about his scan results. In the words of the doctor, “we need a miracle”. Claytons pathology reports from Friday showed the spots in his abdomen (lymph nodes) are cancer and it is stage 4. He will hopefully get a port next week and then start chemo the week after that. He will do chemo treatments every 3 weeks along with taking a pill everyday for 2 weeks on, one week off, and we will rescan after 3 treatments (so in 9 weeks). They said there is a 60-70% chance the cancer will respond to the chemo- so we need prayers that it will. He also said that even if the cancer does respond to the chemo, this will be a life long battle for clayton. Again, not the news we were hoping for. Please be praying that he responds to the chemo, the cancer shrinks or goes away. BUT also that God does a miracle and the cancer does not spread anywhere else. We know God is near and faithful, and we are begging him for mercy and healing.

Hey Clayton, this is Rich Jones. It's been a while since we saw each other. I was the Executive Pastor at Hillside from 2012-2021. I'm now serving at a church in North Richland Hills. I still keep in touch with lots of LBK peeps and have been following your story. First of all, I'm sorry that you and your family and your church are having to go through this right now. However, I'm certain that these events have simply drawn you closer to GOD and strengthened your faith in a miraculous way. As I've seen the giant outpouring of love and support on FB, I think about something that I recently heard a pastor say...."In 2024, I'm praying for GOD…
I pray God of miracles works in your body, he is our healer, no weapon formed against you shall prosper in Jesus name! For we walk by faith and not by sight, we may get the symptoms and the dr results but our God is the miracle worker, no cancer can live in you you have Jesus blood flowing through your veins, I pray its disintegrated in the name of Jesus amen💪🏻🙏🏻
We are praying for you and the family Pastor. May Gods healing hands be placed over every part of you that needs healing. Amen!
